MMS-EASE Lite is a source code product for embedding the IEC 61850 protocols in Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) such as RTUs, reclosers, PLCs, meters and other resource constrained systems. MMS-EASE Lite is easily portable to ANY operating system and CPU type supporting an ANSI C compiler for maximum flexibility. Also supports UCA® 2.0 and the Manufacturing Message Specification (MMS - ISO9506).

MMS-EASE Lite supports all the client and server functions needed to implement IEC61850 compatible devices supporting IEC 61850 parts 6-1, 7-2, 7-3, 7-4, 7-410 (Hydropower models), 7-420 (distributed energy resource (DER) models), 8-1, 9-2, and IEC 61400-25-2 (for wind power models). MMS-EASE Lite supports all ACSI services and objects including servers, logical devices, logical nodes, setting groups, data, data sets, logs,
buffered and unbuffered reporting, controls, GOOSE/GSSE, and multicast sampled values.

Also available are the ICCP-TASE.2 Extensions for MMS-EASE Lite which adds support for IEC60870-6, also known as the Intercontrol Center Communications Protocol (ICCP), per IEC 60870-6 TASE.2 to MMS-EASE Lite.
