IEC 60870-6 TASE.2 / ICCP Connectivity

AX-S4 ICCP

AX-S4 ICCP connects your existing OPC Data Access (DA)-enabled SCADA, HMI, EMS, or data historian to any IEC 60870-6 TASE.2 (ICCP) peer — the standard control centers, ISOs, and transmission operators use to exchange real-time grid data across organizational boundaries. No custom programming required.

No Custom Programming

A plug-in OPC DA interface connects directly to your existing SCADA, HMI, EMS, or historian — no bespoke integration code, no extended development cycle.

Scales to Any
System Size

No per-point or per-link licensing. Cost stays predictable from a single bilateral connection up to a large multi-node supranational network.

Built for Continuous Operations

Redundant primary/standby configuration with automatic or manual failover keeps data flowing when links or nodes fail.

What AX-S4 ICCP Delivers

Control centers, ISOs, transmission operators, and power plants worldwide use IEC 60870-6 TASE.2 (ICCP) to exchange operational data across organizational boundaries. AX-S4 ICCP connects your existing OPC DA-enabled systems to any ICCP peer without custom programming.

  • ICCP Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 support as both client and server via OPC DA V3.0 interfaces
  • IEC 60870-6 TASE.2 V1996-08 and V2000-08 compliant, with millisecond timestamps and all-changes-reported
  • Spreadsheet (Excel) and XML configuration import/export for rapid deployment on large systems
  • Redundant primary/standby configuration with automatic or manual failover
  • Easy-to-use GUIs for automated configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics
  • Proven in generation dispatch, ISO/RTO data exchange, demand response coordination, and supranational transmission networks

Technical Specifications

AX-S4 ICCP runs on any currently supported Microsoft Windows system, with an optional security layer that overlays existing ICCP associations without disrupting them.
    • OPC DA V3.0 client and server interfaces
    • IEC 60870-6 TASE.2 V1996-08 and V2000-08 compliant
    • Optional IEC 62351-4 security extensions — TLS encryption and certificate-based ACSE authentication per NERC CIP guidance
    • Simultaneous secure and standard ICCP associations on the same node, configurable link-by-link
    • Configurable cipher selection with periodic symmetric key renegotiation
    • Redundant configurations with automatic or manual failover
