GridCore™ Suite — CIM Model Change Management
CIM Delta™
Precision change management for CIM model evolution across EMS, DMS, and market systems — with full awareness of CIM structure, profiles, and grid topology. CIM Delta™ identifies, validates, and propagates every model change without model drift.

What CIM Delta™ Delivers
Generic XML diff tools have no awareness of CIM object identity, containment hierarchies, or connectivity semantics — they report serialization differences, not engineering changes. CIM Delta™ operates on CIM model instances directly, with full knowledge of CIM structure, profile constraints, and grid topology.
CIM-aware differencing at the object and attribute level, with no false positives from serialization differences
Profile-sensitive delta generation constrained to the active CIM profile, excluding out-of-profile objects
Intelligent merge engine that applies change sets in dependency order, preventing dangling references
Topology and integrity preservation — validates connectivity nodes, terminals, and containers after merge
Version-controlled model lifecycle with source/target version and change-author metadata for full traceability
Multi-environment promotion workflow (dev/staging/production) with a conflict gate at each stage
Technical Specifications
CIM Delta™ ingests two CIM model instances, validates them against CIM structure and topology, and emits a standards-conformant Difference Model payload for direct use by EMS, DMS, and market platforms.
- IEC 61970-301 (CIM Base) and IEC 61970-452 (Network Model Exchange XML) compliant
- IEC 61968-11 (CIM Distribution extensions) and IEC 61968-13 (Difference Model format — the basis for delta output)
- Input: IEC 61970 CIM/XML (RDF/XML serialization); Output: IEC 61968-13 Difference Model XML
- On-premises deployment, no cloud dependency required
- Dev/staging/production model promotion workflow with full audit trail (object ID, attribute path, before/after values, author)
- GridCore™-native integration
